Nantycorn Get Together (Max)

Max was one of the puppies born on 13/02/2008. He was exported to Greece in March 2007 and his proud owner is Thanos Theocharis from Athens. He is a very powerful hunting dog with an intense point and a soft-mouthed natural retriever. Thanos has spent a lot of time on his training and giving him the experience to become an all-round pointing dog , working him on the low ground , the steep olive tree terraces and in the mountains . Max is worked on quail  , pheasant , woodcock , grouse and is seen below (top left) before he went to Greece and in subsequent pictures hunting quail and woodcock. In Europe pointers are expected to hunt in cover, hence the "tracking" collar. The collar emits a signal so the handler can locate his dog if he comes on point out of sight. Max gets very excited if he sees Thanos go to the cupboard for the collar as it means he is going to fulfil his passion in life- 'hunting' !
